Our Project

Our team product idea is to make a bespoke electronic door locking system. Which will consist of a biometric fingerprint scanner, electronic keypad and a camera. The purpose of this is to prevent any kind of unauthorised access, breaching, interference, trespass etc. It prevents any kind of unauthorised access, breaching, interference, trespass etc. Keyless door locks are a secure and advanced locking system used by a large number of organisations due to their benefits. Including the ability to change codes on a regular basis to enhance security, ensuring that users who no longer require access are not in possession of the code. Another major benefit of keyless door lock is that misplaced or stolen keys are no longer an issue. Changing an entire set of locks when you are in doubt about the building’s security in the event of lost or stolen keys can be a costly exercise and leaves you vulnerable until the replacement has been carried out.

Problem Tackled

Global Challenge 3: Good Health and Well-Being

The global goal we are aiming to achieve is good health and wellbeing. The other goal we are directing to achieve is to make an improvement in industry, innovation and infrastructure. According to the world health organisation approximately 15% of people around the world have some form of physical disability which equates to about 1 billion people. Current statistics show there are 200 million people over the age of 65 who have mobility issues, and this is set to increase in years to come. Better safe than sorry, organisations will always look out for ways to improve security and facilities. Another concern for security issues is that everyday homes are being invaded because of people replicating keys to one’s home and breaking in without permission. Furthermore, individuals tend to forget their keys at work, friend’s house or losing it, which is a problem for the homeowner as they will not be able to get in their homes.
